  • Norwegian School of Log Building -- Dedicated to providing quality log building instruction and insight into the unique log construction culture of Norway. If you are interested in learning full scribe log building, this is the web site for you. Founded in 1997 the Norwegian School of Log Building is owned and operated by Master Log Builder George Fuller. Two and three week courses are held in Spring and Autumn. Information and instruction is available in Norwegian and English. These courses are suitable for both men and women. The web shop features tools and books, used by professionals and hobby log builders in Norway.
  • Great Lakes School of Log Building -- Learn the skills necessary to construct your own handcrafted log cabin or home at the Great Lakes School of Log Building in northern Minnesota. Save money, get hands-on experience and gain personal satisfaction by attending one of our monthly workshops. The Great Lakes School has been promoting and teaching the craft of Scandinavian full-scribed log construction for 34 years. Our ten-day courses are designed to accommodate all skill levels, from novice on up, and we invite men and women of all ages to participate.
  • The Lasko School of Log Building -- Hands-on Log Building Workshops. Come and learn the requisite skills of traditional, 1500-year-old craft of building with logs, and build that cabin with your own logs! You've been wanting to and have talked about it for a long time. Our students tell us they nearly all have said the same thing: "Some Day". That "Some Day" is here! Find out what to do next.
  • The Logworks School of Log Building will teach you to complete a log home in a 10-day log building course. The log building school is hands-on training with no more than 8 to 10 students to a group. In 10 days you will learn what I have taken 30 years to master. And you’ll do it in beautiful western Montana.
  • Montana School of Log Building -- For over 30 years Al Anderson has been training builders how-to handcraft log homes. He has trained individuals who wanted to build their own homes or start businesses, husband/wife teams, log crews from established log home companies, construction engineers and architects. Besides teaching, Al Anderson is a Montana contractor, who builds handcrafted log homes nationwide.
  • Rocky Mountain Workshops -- If you are seeking unsurpassed instruction in wooden joinery, taught in one of the most beautiful settings in the world, you've come to the right place! In 1986 Rocky Mountain Workshops offered its first hands-on workshops in the handcrafted tradition of scribe-fit log construction. In 1996 we expanded our program to include timber framing. From the beginning the Rocky Mountain Workshops' commitment has been to provide students from all backgrounds and building skills with the best learning experience possible.
